Back in 2010, our third official release was that of long-time label mate and friend from the Moteer days, Part Timer. The album 'Real to Reel' was a hit and gave Lost Tribe Sound some street credit early on.

Around that time, Part Timer had a bunch of friends create remixes, mainly centered around The Runner, as a computer crash had destroyed all of the other song stems. Early remixers involved Orla Wren, The Green Kingdom, Humble Bee, Children of the Wave, and Scissors and Sellotape. This was the only version of this remix album that was ever properly released, until now.

Planning for a ten year anniversary of the classic 'Real to Reel' album has always been on our mind. So let's call it a twelve year anniversary instead. This new 2022 edition of the remixes has been meticulously mastered for the first time by Kael Smith (aka Mute Forest) and Kirk Clausen.

Along with the newly mastered versions, 'Real to Reel Remixes' adds six new remixes to the collection that were never publicly available before, from artists Vieo Abiungo (aka William Ryan Fritch), Shigeto, Mute Forest, Western Skies Motel, Part Timer, and Brael.

We've held off releasing this collection for the last couple years for this reason or that. However we might as well put it to good use, given all the war and seemingly unending crises that continue to unfold. Like many, we feel helpless to have a real impact on these situations. If releasing this can help raise a few dollars to aid children in the worst possible circumstances, we are all for it.
